There’s a reason that the plays of William Shakespeare return to the stage and screen time and time again: they’re brilliant! Enter stage right: the talented players of the Point of Entry Theatre Company. This young and accomplished ensemble takes a scene-by-scene approach to exploring Shakespeare’s works. The basis of its entertaining and highly interactive program is a series of brief, fast-paced scenes which provide audiences with a firsthand look at Shakespeare’s dramatic masterpieces and their continued relevance. By highlighting exciting stage combat, laugh-out-loud humor, and Shakespeare’s keen eye for the human condition through dramatic monologue, these talented performers bring Shakespeare’s often intimidating works down to size. Point of Entry Theatre Company uses physicality and action on stage to illuminate the language of these plays and make them as accessible and enjoyable for audiences today as the Bard did for his audiences four centuries ago.

Point of Entry Theatre Company: Point of Entry Theatre Company under the direction of Christopher V. Edwards is a theater company committed to cross-cultural story telling that anchors itself in adaptations and bold retellings of classical works, as well as contemporary works that exhibit classical scope from around the globe. The company strives to make Shakespeare accessible to people of all ages.
