Alan Gilbert Conducts the Juilliard Orchestra

The Juilliard School in association with the New York Philharmonic, will present the Juilliard Orchestra led by Alan Gilbert, the Philharmonic’s new Music Director, in Alice Tully Hall. The performance is part of a new initiative designed by Juilliard and the Philharmonic to promote artistic synergy among young artists and professionals on the Lincoln Center campus. An alumnus of Juilliard, Mr. Gilbert is the first to hold the William Schuman Chair in Musical Studies at Juilliard, a position that will include coaching, conducting, and performance master classes.
