The Grammy and Tony Award–winning Dee Dee Bridgewater is a veritable queen of jazz and one of the smoothest, most powerful voices ever to take on Broadway. Bridgewater offers a heartfelt tribute to her iconic predecessor Billie Holiday, whose music she honors in her latest CD. Featuring jazz bassist Christian McBride, this performance celebrates the songs that made “Lady Day” into a legend and reflects on the 50th anniversary of her passing.
This performance is approximately 80 minutes, with no intermission.
